Silverfish

Silverfish typically live in damp cool locations like basements and crawl spaces. Silverfish are nocturnal insects that hide during the day and come out at night seeking food and water. They prefer dry foods such as cereals and pet foods, paper with glue and book bindings. They may also be fund in bookcases, closets, baseboards, windows and door frames.

Characteristics

Silverfish are wingless slender-bodied that reach about 1/2″ to 3/4″ in length. These insects typically appear shiny silver or pearl gray in color. Silverfish have two long antennae at the head and three long tail appendages.
